Bottas faces brake issues again at Singapore with Cadillac

Valtteri Bottas experienced ongoing brake problems with Cadillac during the recent Formula 1 race in Singapore. The veteran driver was forced to lift and coast early in the race due to overheating brakes, a challenge that has affected the MAC-26 car throughout the season. Despite the difficulties, Bottas indicated that the issue is nearing resolution.

Brake overheating has been a persistent problem for Cadillac in Formula 1 this year, contributing to four retirements so far. The MAC-26's braking system has struggled to maintain performance under the intense conditions typical of the sport, impacting the team's reliability and race outcomes.

The Singapore race highlighted the continuing struggle with the brakes, although there are signs of improvement. Cadillac will need to address this technical challenge fully to enhance their competitiveness in upcoming races and reduce the risk of further retirements.

Bottas, an experienced driver, has been managing the situation as best as possible, but the brake issues remain a significant obstacle. The team’s efforts to solve the problem will be critical as the Formula 1 season progresses and the pressure to secure points increases.
