Iowa's last-second touchdown almost ended prematurely against Michigan
Iowa quarterback Hank Brown nearly spiked the ball before the clock stopped during the Hawkeyes' dramatic final drive against Michigan, risking an early end to the game. The incident occurred in the closing seconds of Iowa's 20-19 victory over the Wolverines on 26 September in an NCAA Football matchup.
The win marked Iowa's first game of the season, improving their record to 1-0 and moving them to third place in the NCAA Football standings. The Hawkeyes have started strongly with four consecutive wins, including dominant victories over Northern Iowa Panthers and Northern Illinois Huskies, as well as a close 16-13 win against Iowa State Cyclones.
The Iowa Hawkeyes represent the University of Iowa and play their home games in Iowa City. Their next challenge is a home game against the Ohio State Buckeyes on 3 October, where they will aim to extend their winning streak in the NCAA Football season.
The narrow victory over Michigan showcased Iowa's resilience and ability to perform under pressure, despite the near-mistake by their quarterback. The Hawkeyes' recent form, with four wins in a row, highlights their strong start and potential to contend in the competition this year.
