Phillies make unusual Trea Turner lineup choice against Braves

The Philadelphia Phillies have made a curious decision regarding Trea Turner's lineup for Game 1 against the Atlanta Braves. This move stands out given the context of their recent performances and the importance of the matchup.

The Phillies are members of the National League East Division in Major League Baseball. They have struggled recently, with a 3-5 loss to the Braves on 29 September and a mixed set of results including a win over the Tampa Bay Rays and several defeats. Their form in the last five games is one win and four losses.

The upcoming game against the Braves on 30 September is crucial as the Phillies aim to improve their standing. The Braves themselves have a recent record of alternating wins and losses, including their 5-3 victory over the Phillies in the previous encounter.

Philadelphia will need to address their lineup decisions carefully to reverse their recent losing streak. The Braves, based in Atlanta, will look to build on their recent success as they host the Phillies in this key MLB contest.
