Denver Nuggets waive veteran guard after NBA return attempt

The Denver Nuggets released a veteran guard on Monday following an unsuccessful attempt to reignite his NBA career. The move came after the player sought to make a comeback in the league but failed to secure a lasting role with the team.

Currently, the Nuggets sit sixth in the NBA standings with two wins and one loss from three games. Their recent form includes victories over the Chicago Bulls and Utah Jazz, as well as a defeat to the Jazz earlier in the season.

Denver's next game is scheduled for 15 October against the LA Clippers. The Nuggets will aim to build on their positive results as they continue their campaign in the National Basketball Association.

The Los Angeles Lakers, another prominent NBA team from the Pacific Division, are placed fourth with a similar record of two wins and one loss. They have also experienced mixed results in their recent matches, including a win against the Sacramento Kings and a loss to the Golden State Warriors.
