Inter, Roma, Como and Napoli face Serie A tests after European defeats
All four Italian teams—Inter, AS Roma, Como and Napoli—suffered losses in their second UEFA Champions League group stage matches, raising questions about their recovery in Serie A. Como fell 3-2 to Feyenoord Rotterdam on 14 October, while Napoli lost 3-1 to Villarreal in their latest European fixtures.
Como currently holds 3 points from two Champions League games, positioned 12th in their group with a goal difference of +2. Napoli, meanwhile, are bottom of their group with no points and a goal difference of -3 after two defeats. Both teams have mixed recent domestic form, with Como drawing 0-0 against AS Roma and Napoli winning 3-0 against Frosinone before their European setbacks.
Looking ahead, Como will visit Fiorentina on 18 October in Serie A, aiming to bounce back from their European loss. Napoli, based in Naples and competing in Italy's top flight, will also seek to improve their domestic standing following their poor Champions League results.
