Texans receive positive Marvin Harrison Jr. update before Jaguars game

The Houston Texans have received encouraging news regarding Marvin Harrison Jr. ahead of their Week 6 NFL matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars on 18 October. This development comes as the Texans prepare to face a strong opponent at the Jaguars' home ground.

Houston currently sit 13th in the NFL standings, having played five games with one win and four losses. Their recent form includes a convincing 26-3 victory over the Tennessee Titans on 11 October, which ended a run of four consecutive defeats. The Texans have a goal difference of minus two, reflecting their struggles earlier in the season.

The Jacksonville Jaguars, meanwhile, are third in the league with four wins and one loss from five games. They have a positive goal difference of plus 53 and have won their last three matches, including a narrow 19-17 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. The Jaguars compete in the AFC South division and are known for their strong home performances.

The upcoming game on 18 October will be a key test for the Texans as they look to build on their recent success and improve their league position. The Jaguars will aim to maintain their winning momentum and assert their dominance in the division with a home victory.

Both teams have shown contrasting fortunes this season, with the Texans seeking to overturn their early setbacks and the Jaguars aiming to consolidate their place among the NFL's top contenders. The match promises to be a competitive encounter between two sides with different trajectories so far in 2026-27.
