Knicks waive former Nuggets NBA champion ahead of season
The New York Knicks have waived a veteran player previously with the Denver Nuggets, removing him from their final regular season roster. The decision came as the Knicks finalised their squad for the NBA season.
The Knicks currently sit 15th in the NBA standings after five games, with a record of one win and four losses. Their recent form includes a narrow 122-120 victory over the Toronto Raptors, but they have struggled overall with a significant negative point difference.
Their next game is scheduled for 20 October against the Philadelphia 76ers. The Knicks will be looking to improve their position in the league as they continue their campaign.
Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets, the former club of the waived player, are eighth in the standings with three wins and two losses from five games. They recently secured a 121-106 win over the Los Angeles Lakers, maintaining a positive goal difference.
